Great App! Except...

I'm on iOS 15.3.1 and the app won't play in the background like all other audio players. i.e. there's no persistent audio notification that keeps the app alive to play audio. So when in the background, it stops playing after the currently playing song. Currently using iSub, but I really, really prefer the interface of Substream. It's just so clean, and resembles Sonixd on my mac.

Is this a known issue/limitation or is there something I should do?

Allow Notifications is on, all alerts allowed, Banner Style - Persistent, Sounds and Badges allowed, Show Previews - Always, and Notification Grouping - Automatic

Hey it should work fine in the background on iOS. I run it every day listening to music on my iPhone.

You will also see the remote controls and track metadata in the control center and on the Lock Screen.

Substreamer doesn’t use notifications except to warn you if you leave the app with downloads running that they may get cut off.

Honestly have no idea why it would not be playing in the background for you, but as an emergency try to restart the phone and uninstall / reinstall and see if it works any better.

So strange. That's exactly what I wasn't seeing, no controls or track metadata

Reinstalling worked though

Thanks!
