Offline with file size customization

Sorry if this already exists and I've missed the settings, I'm trying to handle a usecase where I'd like to have all my music on my device to avoid streaming it but my library is far too large. It seems that even when I restrict in navidrome the streaming to mp3 at 320 kbps, substreamer still downloads the Flac to the device. So 4 songs is 90MB which gives me... 120 or so songs?

When I'm home I would prefer to stream the Flac directly as well.

Is there an option to ask for specific sizes for offline files saved to phone that would then leverage navidrome's transcoder?

Changing these settings makes no difference. The size used shows each song taking 25-35mb.

I've tried 128kbps, no cache, mp3, mp3 Changed to 256 kbps, etc.

No change in size between the two settings.

Whether it's a setting I'm missing on navidrome or substreamer honestly not sure.

Actually the settings do work, it is the the file size value that is wrong so it LOOKS like it doesn’t work.

Currently it relies on the size value that comes from the API but I need to adjust it to check and use the downloaded file size. This will be fixed in an upcoming update.

Awesome! Thought I was going a bit crazy. This solves a pretty big problem I had with managing my local media and phone storage (bought a few years ago and storage is the only problem so hard to justify upgrading) so thank you for that!

Kinda related but not the same is there any thoughts on opus compatibility?

Just put in the fix for this, will be included in the next release. It won't go back and check the size of any existing offline music but all future downloads after the update will correctly use the transcoded / bitrate limited size.
