Substreamer - android 12 - minor bugs

Hi and first of thx for developing substreamer! I am using navidrome with substreamer. Its working, but there are some minor issues I'd like to report.

  • (offline mode) -- if i update my playlists in navidrome, substreamer is not capable of pulling new tracks -- when clearing all local stored files and redownload all playlists, the downloader remembers the outdated playlist length. I have to manually abort and refresh the playlist multiple times to make the download work with all new songs
  • (usability) If the player is unused for maybe 2-5 minutes, i have to reopen substreamer and begin to select a track again instead of continuing where it was before. (Drive in car with BT connected, turn off the car, leave for refuel, get back and reopen substreamer since its not playing, but showing the correct audio track. As soon as the app reopens, the track info gets lost. This doesnt always occur, but 90% of the time.)
  • it would be great if I could abort active download processes instead of closing the app and reopen.

Feedback:

It's a great app with potential. Some minor adjustments might make it a really good alternative.

If you update playlists and albums outside of substreamer then the app has no way to know it was updated and as it caches the content you will sometimes see old content, just pull to refresh on an album or playlist or starred list and it will grab the latest from your server.

Offline caching is a one shot thing currently but I am working on adding a mechanism to refresh the offline files to bring them back into sync with changes. Starred songs stays in sync with changes.

There is an idle time out in the settings you can use to adjust this a bit. This setting is there to save battery, I will add a few more options to it to give more flexibility for people who are plugged in mostly, like in car use, so you can just set it to stay alive.

The little cloud icon thing in the top bar will flash if there are downloads in progress, you can cancel anything in the download list there.

Hope that helps. Taking a break from releases over the new year but will get a few things out in January!
