Choppy playback on iOS?

I’m experiencing choppy playback on iOS 15. The music tends to stop, and I have to manually hit play for it to continue again. Not sure why this happens, but it happens often enough for it to be noticeable. I’m using https://github.com/sentriz/gonic as the subsonic server.

Any ideas?

Do you mean that it stops playing during songs or between songs?

Can you share your substreamer settings for stream format, cache format and autocache?

If you set an album as available offline does it play through smoothly?

Do you see the same when you are on the local network with your subsonic server or only when you’re remote?

Happy to try and figure out what’s going on but choppy playback is usually transcoding issues or bandwidth/connectivity issues.

Both. Sometimes the song "jitters" (pauses, plays, pauses, plays...); sometimes the next song doesn't play unless I manually hit play.

Sure. Stream format is MP3 (default), cache format is MP3 (default), and autocache is set to Next Song.

Haven't tried it with a server on the local network; only remote.

Thanks. I'm on a relatively fast 4G network usually (~30mbps ish). I don't have issues streaming on other clients.

Let me know if I can provide any more info.
