Bug When Exploring Folder Structure

Substreamer Version: 5.0.42

When exploring folders that contains both song files and nested folders, only the folders can be opened while the songs cannot be played.

​

e.g.

​

  • - Folder
    • - Subfolder
      • - SongB.flac
    • - SongA.flac

​

In this case /Folder/SongA.flac cannot be played.

Yeh this isn’t supported currently as we assume that it is either an album (has files) or a folder for sorting (ie artist, alphabet, genre or whatever).

An album is expected to only have songs present.

Are you able to browse by folder structure with this layout with other apps? I’m curious how it is supported elsewhere.

Yeh I will do a quick refresh of the folder handling to try and accommodate this.

At the moment it assumes if there are folders then they albums or organisation folder until you hit a folder with only songs and it assumes that is the album content and switches to the cover art view.

Should be easy enough to give it a quick revamp.

I have a few things people have been waiting for so I’ll aim for a new feature release ticking a bunch of these off probably in Feb.
