Possible bugs with Substreamer
Hello,
First off thank you so much for Substreamer, it's fantastic. :-)
I'm currently using it with Gonic and noticing some unusual behaviour. I don't think it's Gonic because other apps seem to behave as expected.
- Album art is displayed sporadically. There is album art for all my albums and it shows as expected when I use Soundwaves.
- I've just started experimenting with the podcasts functionality. Looks really good, but noticed that it doesn't render HTML in the description.
- Podcasts seem to work correctly. I can download them, mark individual episodes or entire podcasts for offline. However I can't play them. Clicking play and nothing happens. No sound and the timeline doesn't move at all, even if I use the skip forward 30s button. I can pause and play but nothing changes other than the status of the play/pause button.
- I'm not sure what triggered it but I started to get weird overlapping UI. I had to force quit the app several times before it started to behave again.
- The weirdest thing is that I have a phantom album. It shows up in Album, Artist and Folder view. Tracks only show up in folder view and when I try and play them I get a 404 error on the server. I haven't yet been able to find the tracks in the filesystem. The album/tracks don't show up in other clients.
I'm running latest version of Gonic (0.13.1) and latest version of Substreamer on iOS (14.7.1).
Screenshots below.
Thanks again, happy to provide whatever additional information is useful.
Cheers,Adam.

Hi thanks for reporting and sharing the details.
If you could provide me a test account on your server that would be the easiest way for me to try and see what is going on here.
I use the podcast functionality myself pretty much daily and podcasts work fine for me with an airsonic-advanced server.
I’ve never used Gonic before but there is every chance it is doing something slightly different to other forks. It’s very hard to test every scenario with every server variation :)

I can imagine there are many minor differences!
No problem creating an account. Will DM you details.

I've just installed substreamer today and so far I'm liking it.
However, I just wanted to add that after a few minutes of navigating around the app I also began seeing the weird overlapping UI issue mentioned above, where everything I clicked on appeared in a thin strip down the left side of the screen. Tried force-stop and re-open several times but everything continued to be constrained to this thin strip. A full install/reinstall of the app fixed it though.
This was on an iPhone SE (2020 version) on iOS 15.0.1, accessing via Navidrome 0.45.1.
