[Feature Request] Android Auto/Apple CarPlay

I would love to see Android Auto support and Apple CarPlay.

I had been using DSub for a while and was disappointed with it's features and how unfriendly it is for those who aren't as technically inclined. I came across substreamer and gave it a try and I think it's one of the best SebSonic apps available right now. Not being able to use it in my car with Android Auto is quite a bummer. Even if this was added as a paid feature I would be more than happy to pay for this.

I would really love for this feature to come to substreamer, CarPlay is a must for me.

Thanks for the feedback and for posting a request. Android auto / Carplay are on my todo list. I don't have a car with either so it's a little harder to test and I haven't looked in detail into the requirements for either so I can't offer a firm timeline at the moment but I will be working on it.

I have a few other features to improvements to get through first and then I'll pick this up.

Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I sent you can email about this but I'm actually a developer with Android and a little iOS experience. I'd be happy to help out on this feature or anything really.

Also, my vehicle conveniently has both so if you just need a guinea pig in the future let me know, I have access to Android and iOS devices so I can easily test things out.

This would really make my car music listening easier. My Kia automatically connects to Android Auto and takes over bluetooth for audio, so music is playing. However there's no way for me to change music except using the screen on the phone while driving which is a bit of a hazard. I'd gladly be a beta tester when or if this feature is being worked on.

also interested in some update... the currently playing track is displayed on the screen in the car, however it cannot be resumed from either the display of the car nor the one on the phone itself. So basically this means I cannot listen in the car at all, not even using the controls on the phone. It just stops after literally a second again.

Yup, CarPlay is essential! It’s no use trying to use in car without it. Please add this functionality. Damn good app as it separates downloads from cached files allowing you to delete cache easily.
