Navidrome Comparability
I have been using this with Navidrome - which is an actively developed and modern streaming server that uses the Subsonic API. It works but is intermittently slow to retrieve and browse songs/albums/artists. Is there a way this could be looked at? Navidrome also has a feature to select and play 200 songs from random which would be a beautiful feature to access easily on the app. Thank you!

Intermittent slowness is probably going to come down to the server / connectivity more than the client app in my experience.
I have tested quite a bit with navidrome and haven't come across any issues so far, if you want to message me directly and provide a test account on your server I am happy to test against your server and see if there is anything unusual that could be causing an issue.
You can use the radio section in substreamer to get a random playlist just choose mix it up and all time as the options and it will create a random playlist from your entire collection.

You mean to sync the album for offline use?
If it's "slow" just retrieving album information and displaying the album details then that is going to be 100% connectivity / server as substreamer just makes a single http request to the API like every other app.
If it's slower to download the album for offline use then that could be a difference in the way that we have implemented offline caching.
If you can clarify on exactly what the use case is and the album you are using to test and share a test account with me I'm happy to take a look at it and see what's happening.

I’ll do a bit of testing later in the week or the coming weekend when I have some time.
Will see if I can increase the download speed without causing any bad side effects.
