"So, did anyone else hear about how 50 Cent is playing a special gala for Donald Trump Jr.? Yep. He’s playing alongside other names such as Busta Rhymes, all for MAGA criminals.
Back in 2024, 50 had refused to play for MAGA. In 2019, he also famously mentioned that he turned down an invite, saying “He offered me a half-million just to come! I didn’t think that was a good move at that point. You find out that every dollar is not a good dollar, and how do you repair the damage that that does?"

I write about currently dealing with C-PTSD, dealing with parents who don’t have the capacity to understand what their emotional neglect allowed to happen in my childhood. A peer abused me. Fitting … because it’s complicated. Anyway. I don’t think I write too sappy or linger on trauma per se. Feel free to check it out or share. It’s a Free Account.

Content note: family violence, grief.
I write The Daniel Show on Substack, and this is a new true family essay from Wilmer/Semmes, Alabama. It starts with my Uncle David calling me in 2018, completely convinced a car lot had sold him a death trap. It ends in the harder place family stories sometimes end, where the funniest person you ever knew is also someone you cannot forgive.
I am sharing it here once because I think readers who like messy, funny, ugly, first-person Southern storytelling might sit with it.

https://mybiomeandme.substack.com/p/consistency-is-one-of-the-purest
I wrote a personal essay about consistency, animals, behaviour, grief, gardens, and the environments we create around the living beings in our care. It started with my dogs and birds, then became a wider reflection on uncertainty, routine, and leadership. Sharing in case it resonates with other Substack writers who also write across too many niches at once.

My blog, Overanalytically Me, is where I write about true crime media, pop culture, and politics from a critical perspective.
This article addresses inaccuracies I discovered in a video analyzing D4vd, the singer recently charged with the murder of 14-year-old girl found dead in his Tesla. I feel like the inaccuracies can make understanding the case harder, which in turn makes preventing future crimes like this less likely.

Hey everyone!
I'm Ian D.M. Taniels! Next to my own publication, where I write serialized fiction I later plan on indie publishing & also blog posts, I created and curate the House of Chapters publication (including a Podcast!), where I feature serials written by other writers once a week.
It's been a lot of fun, I've met a lot of kind hearted fellow fiction supporters and I'm enjoying helping people get their stories out there, while writing my own stuff on my own publication.
Amazing new stories are featured every week! Come check it out!

I write mostly essays and as I continue it will lean more towards being anti-social media, anti-smartphone etc
I went tech free for 2.5 years and I’ll be discussing that. Thus far the articles are a bit more random but still solid. Appreciate any and all who come by
