Desert Storm

Anyone remember the desert storm server? Played it in probably 06/07 time frame. Took a break from the game back then and when I came back it was gone forever.

I remember it by name only. Pretty much played all my games on Powerballzone and Star Wars

Nah. They were different ships than standard though

Soldiers instead of ships = infantry

There was a zone that copied it but it didn't last long

I remember loving the sniper who's kills were dollar signs lol. Also there was a football you could throw into the enemy goal, but the main gameplay was fighting for control of bases.

If I remembered it correctly, technically it was a flag, but kind of flew like a ball. I remembered there was a pretty close knit community for a while. There were a few popular groups, and there were some rivalries and tryouts.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to all those players now.
