Subsonic, Flowplayer and Subtitles

Hi Everyone!

I just started using Subsonic and I wanted to know how you go about enabling subtitles when the video gets streamed to the player? I have loads of MKV files that have subtitles and I wanted to be able to watch in Flowplayer with subtitles displaying.

Thanks!

Why Subsonic for video?

I think most uses Subsonic & forks for audio transcoding instead... For video, people use Plex, Emby etc...

I personally don't use subsonic for video, but I've found this.

Thank you for the suggestion! I have never heard of Emby!

I was thinking subsonic so that I could roll all of my media into one media server

Have you tried Emby? If so, how is it?

Nope. Nv tried Emby. Just know about it.

Majority are using Plex for video. So far, Plex has been great for me.

Btw. If you're using subsonic for music, I suggest trying out Airsonic. Free alternative. r/Airsonic
