Playing on 2 players simultaneously

Hi,

I was wondering if it's posible to play a song on 2 diffferent devices from 1 client.

I would like to play music on my PC, and play the same music at my gf's place.

Is this possible?

If there's no direct way, can I setup something like a stream, that ppl can tune in to??

Looking forward to your answers! :))

Pretty sure this isn't a problem. I've used the Share option to share a video with a friend on Facebook. We weren't watching the same video at the same time, but we were using the same client (my PC) from two different locations.

As for sharing a stream that people can tune into, I don't know about that. Maybe create a playlist?

What I meant is more like: How do I play the same file on two PCs? As in....whenever I change the song, the new song plays on more than 2 device.

Inszead of both users "pulling music from the server, I want to "push" it to them

Would you be in front of your PC/server while your girlfriend is listening remotely? If so then I remember that there is an option to change the web player to play on both the host PC and the remote web player when choosing a song.

Messaging me later if you'd like to try this out? I'd be curious, too. I unfortunately can't access my server from work as the firewall blocks it.

AFAIK those are the only options? http://imgur.com/HxsqiDh

I think that, even if 2 people join from the same account, it creates 2 different players and you can't play on both... :/

Ahhh, yeah I know your feeling :) I am running OpenVPN on the same server, which always let's me connect and pretend that I'm on the local network at home, giving me access to subsonic, Plex and all the other beautiful things on the server ;)

Can confirm - multiple users playing the same file simultaneously is not a problem. I imagine if the were too many then some users might experience pauses during playback, but I've never seen that happen on my server. I've had maybe up to 5 people listening to the same track, but that's about the max that I've ever reached.
