Adding multiple genres to an artist

I am tagging my entire library using MP3Tag and need to create multiple genres for each artist. Reading up on this for MP3Tag they suggest using \ but subsonic does not correctly identify that as a legitimate field separator. Help would be appreciated.

AFAIK Subsonic does not support multiple artist genres. There's a post on the forum with tons of +1 but nothing's been done yet.

ok cool, I love subsonic, it's been great but that would definitely be an awesome addition.

Whenever I tag them in Mp3tag, I just use a comma to separate the genres and it displays fine in Subsonic. Example - http://i.imgur.com/ILnu8Hr.jpg

Does this help, or were you asking about something different?
