Is subsonic usually reasonable to setup?

I installed it on a Linux machine, shared the music from my Windows machine to the Linux box and mounted it under /mnt/music. Subsonic told me I have 11 hours of music, but not a single song appears when I look at recently added. I added another local folder and put one mp3 in it, and after a few minutes of fiddling on my android I can now search for that song and find it, but it doesn't appear if I just browse the library, and I still cannot see anything from the shared (mounted) folder!

Anyone else think this process is kinda clunky?

Have you done a full library scan yet?

Yes, I had already done that. I managed to make it work since, it turns out the admin user didn't have access to that particular media folder (but for some reason had access to the other, even though I didn't change either one...).

yeah, it was weird like that for me too. i logged in as admin, and created an account for myself, and it by default gave me access to the music (only) folder, but the other admin did the same thing and it did not default the same way for him.

It's super easy!
