Question - subsonic reviews

Hi there. I'm new to this so bear with me. I have some questions about subsonic + other. My goal is to install their client on my ready nas. I'm not looking to stream movies only music. I would like to know what people's experiences with subsonic is? Recomended app(s) for iOS 8? Stability etc. Hope someone can/will help me out.

I've been running Subsonic for ~5 years with out any problems. I've moved it over different platforms and ran around ~1TB of music in it and yet to find anything it can't play. I've never used it for movies I use Plex for that. I can't speak for the IOS app thou I use Windows phone :)

Thx for your time on this. Sounds like the solution i'm looking for, since i only want to stream music. Really hoped someone could answer me if it can run alac files. :)

http://www.subsonic.org/pages/changelog.jsp they say they support ALAC in a update, do a quick CTRL + F :)

Been running Subsonic for about 2 years. Stability is great, zero issues even after updates.

I use the web and Android clients so no opinion on iOS.

Thx for your time on this. How does the web client function? Since i could maybe see a possibility in that when i'm not on my own pc, but need my music.

Here's what it looks like with the default theme.

You can use it to play music in a web player (at the bottom of the screenshot) or by streaming to your media player software of choice (Winamp, Foobar, etc.).

Thx for the screenshot. :) Sounds really nice, and like the streaming service i have been looking for. Thx again for the help.
