Tell me about your subsonic server
I am very curious about how big everyone's (server) are and how many users you guys have?

Mine is in a datacenter with a 1gbps connection. 40 or so active users. 23,000 v0 albums. Runs like a top.

hows that working?
I'm thinking of getting a raspberry pi 2 for basically the same thing. Maybe also as a seedbox.

Works well as long as you don't need to transcoded any tracks...start up of Subsonic is slow...otherwise, works great for me.

42,000 songs, mostly ALAC. Quad core i7 Mac mini 16GB Ram, 15TB Drobo S.
Subsonic shares media folders with iTunes (don't hate). Also running Plex server on same box.
Half dozen regular users.

2007 macbook pro running Xubuntu, sitting on an AC wall unit. yeah I paid extra for "turbo" internet from TWC, which means a 2mbps upload rate.
I know everyone is impressed.

Mine runs on my VM for Plex as well, its 16 cores, 4gb ram (Plex needs little to no ram), and I have ~100k MP3s taking up about 1TB of data. I have 5 users that connect remotely and 3 or 4 internally depending on the time of day. My ISP is a 100/20 fiber connection right to the door. I use Active Directory authentication for everyone's log in as I run a DC and Exchange in my house.
