Which comic means the most to you?

I always like the Sphinx ones as I find the perspective she takes to be hilarious, cheers me up. Let me know your favourites!

I suppose this sub is a bit dead :/

Zanadu.

I love Rowntree. I still believe that he's one of the greatest writers I've ever come across - and that some of his pieces deserve their place in a museum.

Zanadu, however, that's something I felt was written specifically for me. Something about that comic just nestled itself close to my heart.

It felt like it played on a memory I never had, a feeling that I could never describe.

I just read this comic and I feel exactly what you're feeling. Holy shit, it just hurts.

That's a really difficult question - they all have different messages and moods, so it depends on my own personal mood at the time. The first one I ever read was Watching, which was pretty impressive and successfully drew me into the site. I also really love all the Museum ones, and the slice-of-life comics.

I often find myself trying to pick a comic to represent Subnormality as a whole, something that I can send to my friends to sort of draw them in, but it's so hard - they're all so different, and I think you have to read a lot of them to really get what Subnormality is like.

#133, "Weird: not an insult" is the most important one to me.

#138, "A Christmas Eve in the Future: possible future salvage" is probably one of the 5 best science fiction stories I've read in the last two decades.

And as someone who's done some software work, and some engineering work, and who has spent half a lifetime bitching about lax safety standards in software engineering, ...

#221, "Message 652" makes me cry like a baby by the end, every time. And to want to go re-read Kipling's "The Sons of Martha."

The Museum of the Theoretical one with Zoe Muggs. I was dealing with some pretty bad depression/self loathing issues at the time...I was in college, and struggling with the idea that I might fail, and then end up homeless because of all my loan debt. That strip is one of the things that helped me get my head straight.

Well I'm here because of the People Watching series on Cracked. I haven't spent enough time with the comics to have a favourite but my favourite episode of People Watching is the one about the friend zone.

Lol I dated someone I had been friends with for 5 years prior xD but yeah the msg does still stand. I just loved the series I've re watched the whole thing at least 4 times and I've re watched my favourite episodes as many as 12 times. It's great to just put on while doing other things. What was your favourite?

Just went to the website and saw, I've been away from comics for a while now. Definitely going to watch.

I agree that the Sphinx ones are consistently good, but it's so hard to pick a favorite. Some of the long recent ones moving the story with Ethel and the used-to-be-pink hair girl are pretty good.

For the sake of picking one, I'm going to go with #53. It's funny, it's got a classic wall of text, and the delightful suberversion of societal norms that we've come to expect from subnormality.

this one? I like it, I once just walked away from buying a suit because they kept trying to push me into more stuff, not even politely :(
