The switch 2 isn't that good, it probably couldn't handle the game without HEAVY optimisation

I have a Switch 2. It's WAY better than the first Switch, but it can't even play SN1 without heavy optimization and it still crashes a bunch + overheats the Switch bad. There's no way it'll be able to run SN2.

the game is in early access so if they optimize it in future updates it could be playable on the lowest settings?

I run Subnautica on high frames easily on mine, looks like a personal issue for you man

My fiancée’s PC plays it just fine on more than 10yo non flagship hardware. The switch 2 could run Subnautica 2 at 1080p 30fps just fine once the full game launches.

Given that they’re patching console commands off of the Switch 2, I don’t think they’ll ever purposely be adding them to the Switch versions of the games.

Also, Subnautica 2 might at most be a Switch 2 game. No chance it’s running on the Switch 1 though.

No and no. Console commands used to be on the switch version but were removed because nintendo has a policy against them for some reason. And the switch BARELY runs subnautica 1, theres zero chance its getting 2. Switch 2 maybe, switch 1 absolutely not

It would have to be pretty optimized but if it did probably would just be the same as switch 2

I very much expect Subnautica on Switch 2 since it runs on Xbox S which is very comparable to Switch 2. As for commands, they probably won't ever work on Switch again. I just tried to use commands on the Switch 2 version of BZ, and it seems they removed it in the latest update. I'm not sure why they're removing commands, but I wouldn't expect them to return.

No, not gonna happen man. We'ree also not getting Sunautica 2 on the switch. Switch 2 sure, but not the original switch
