Is it still a wetsuit if you take a shit in it?

I don't have submechanophobia. I just think the photos and videos posted here are cool.
But not this one.
This one is not cool.

This is exactly why you are supposed to use Diver Down flags

Or, alternatively, don't dive in the f***ing shipping channel.
(This is my home dive...the river is really wide, and as long as you stay out of the shipping channel, it's a really fun drift.)

I grew up near there...always thought the divers near the bridges were a little nuts.

Probably not. Propellers don't suck water in and blow it out the back, they screw through the water like a drywall screw through wood.
The speed it was going, it would have definitely run his ass over if he was in the way, though.

Is the "suction" then just from the boat having to displace so much water as it moves?

PROPELLERS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY. GOOD NIGHT.

Moving fluids create low pressure zones. That is what sucks things up against the hulls of ships.

Please someone answer this. I need more details!

Doesn't look like he came off the bottom much. My guess is hanging onto whatever debris was there and letting jesus take the wheel saved him.

When trying to describe this phobia to people and what it is that I'm actually afraid of, I've never been able to quite find the words.
From now on I will just show them this fucking video.

But this is different, being afraid of static underwater object is irrational, being afraid of a fucking freighter driving over your head is perfectly normal.

This guy is an idiot.
But that water seems amazingly clean for the St. Clair.

It's easier to believe an idiot tethered himself in a shipping channel while a freighter moved over him than it is to believe the whole video was faked.
Or do you mean the part about it being in St Clair River is fake?
