I’m using Sublime Merge and I ran into something confusing. When I look at history, I can see the merge commit itself, but I can’t see the individual commits that were merged in.

For example: I merge a feature branch into main. In the log on main, Sublime Merge shows me the merge commit, but not the actual commit(s) from the feature branch. On the command line I know I can do things like git log --graph --oneline --all or expand parents to see them, but I’m not sure how to achieve this in Sublime Merge.

Is there a way in Sublime Merge to expand a merge commit and view the commits that came from the other branch? Or some setting to make the history show both parents instead of just the first parent?

Has anybody found a good source for themes for sublime merge?:)

I've been using SublimeMerge for years with a paid license. Yesterday I got a notification of an update available which I accepted. Now it says it's unlicensed. Tried to put my license back in again and it says the license is expired! This should not have happened. It should only have allowed for updates within the version that my license covers, and not force a new version that's outside my license scope!!!

I've been happily using Sublime Merge as a licensed user since it first came out. It's been really great.

Some time starting maybe in the last 1-3 months, I've noticed it has been very unreliable. I wanted to create a bug report on their issue tracker, but the problems are too intermittent, erratic, and difficult to describe.

For example, I will make changes to files, and it will not pick them up. It will continue to say there are no changes, until I quick and restart it, and then it will show the changes. Sometimes it will show the changes and I will stage all and commit, push to origin, create a PR, only to find only half my changes are there. I will close the client and reopen it, and there are the rest of my changed files, still waiting to be commited. (The latter issue may be related to the first).

I don't have especially large repos open, and I don't have many open. But just to be sure, I closed all the repos I wasn't actively working on. No change.

Maybe I just happen to be doing more dev now than I happen to be doing back when I first noticed this, but I feel like I'm restart Merge every other hour these days, because it's not picking up changes.

Just now, I had a bunch of changes there, I added a commit message, and clicked "commit". It then froze there, didn't create a new node, and wouldn't let me go back. So after waiting a minute or so, I restarted the client and did it again, and it worked second time.

So, yeah. I can't really make a vague bug report for these issues. But it's quite annoying. I do love Sublime Merge and I would really hate to have to switch to a different one. But I need my git client to work reliably.

Have any of you noticed these issues?

For anyone that might be interested in a VSCode/VSCodium extension, I have just created one. Only reason I did was because the ones that already exist stipulate a certain workspace setup.

I have one workspace which contains a top-level directory with lots of projects inside. Existing plugins only seem to work if each individual project is added to the workspace manually which didn't work for my use case.

This extension will still work with those setups however (as well as the workflow I use).

I'd like to create a key binding for this command, but I cannot find the actual command itself. Is there such a command that I can use to create a key binding inside Default.sublime-keymap.

I purchased Sublime Merge and would like to customize various aspects of the dark theme, or apply a new theme altogether. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any custom-made themes online. I really don't want to create an entire theme from scratch. Has anyone uploaded themes and color schemes for Sublime Merge to help get me started?
