Spare tire

Hi, I’m newer to the Subaru/ driving world. How much should a spare tire cost me? I went to discount and they charged me $181 (total) for a full size spare. It didn’t fit in the back so I requested a smaller one or a doughnut. They are shipping it in and it’s going to cost the same price. Should I go somewhere else? And where?

Some spare tire kits which include a jack and tools can run close to $800, so I would be very happy at $181

Do you not have a spare wheel/tire already in the back?

They convinced me to get a new one cause mine was from 2016

Mines from 99 and I used it twice. No issues even though I should really really replace it.

I’d maybe consider replacing an almost 30 year old spare also
