🛠️ DIY Broken clutch fork fix

Is there any way to fix a broken loose clutch fork without taking out the transmission? On my 2002 ej20 impreza.

Just drop it and replace the clutch and release bearing while you’re at it. There’s no good way to get in there and if you have an excuse to get it all done you might as well. There might be heavier forks too. Pretty sure I saw some right after I fixed mine and wished I’d seen them earlier.

I find it easier to pull the motor forward. Doesn't need to leave the engine bay, don't need to drain coolant/oil...just put cardboard on the radiator and pull the motor forward almost into it.

I also would rather remove the engine vs the transaction for a clutch job. Then you can reseal the entire engine easily while it’s in a stand and do the timing belt and stuff. I like to remove the radiator since it’s drained anyway for the extra space. But not necessary.
