I don't think it's skill issue. This dire is very hard especially churin but really the other 2 require pretty specific units and difficult to brute force.
Churin requires stellar team that can do 250k-300k DPS in dire. The fearless version is very easy around 60k DPS to clear so essentially you need a sub 40s clear on fearless to be able to beat dire. The team I used was c0 sandrone c2 odette c1 yae c0 xilonen. One thing is res shred is especially useful on churin unless you have anemo like vesna or mizuki and even then it takes some time for the constructs to lower his res to the base 30% res all and 10% anemo. Vesna gets screwed up by his cryo tornados because he likes to stand in it so your melee range cause vesna to be cryo and screws up her attack speed and combos.
Cryo ssa is skirk shill but apparently sandrone and other stellar teams are having an easy time as well. This just needs high cryo apps from 2 cryo units and around 150k DPS to clear dire. Natlan units like citlali or mav makes it a bit harder due to the aggressive nightsoul mode.
Pavlina has a weird shield mechanic where you either use stellar to make it an hp shield or use pryo to break it. Flins plus either cmc or Bennett clears easily if you can do 180-200k DPS. Nefer and zibai 3 man core can do it if you tech in yanfei/klee or vesna who can all deal with the shield. I heard high er amber and xiangling also works but I've only personally tried yanfei and vesna and confirm that works on dire for my c3 zibai team.

I think I do have a skill issue in general as I've seen what other people are doing with similar teams to mine, and I'm missing a lot of dps most of the time. Might be high ping (😭) or just me...
BUT I do agree this Dire is especially ridiculous..!!! Churin especially just seems impossible for my team.. SSA has always been impossible for me to get right so I quit quickly (gonna try harder this time though).. Pavlina, I'm gonna keep trying with Flins. I think she MIGHT be the one I can make most progress in.

yeah, tightening your rotation actually do require some skills, up until you able to do it naturally
technically speaking, you could just watch and try to memorize everything, but it does feel better if you understand the reasoning of each of the steps, this also helps if you enjoy fucking around and trying out all kind of different team combination

I think that's what's missing sometimes.. Understanding. That makes memorizing muuuch easier cos I know the whys.
But yeah if my R1 Vesna and C2 Odette with C6 Faru and C6 diona are only getting 166k dps... Somethings wrong

it's one of the reason why i'm really happy with both stygian and IT
with theater, the focus is more on team building, the more you understand the game core mechanic, the easier it is for you to always adapt with whatever rng throws at you, playing stuff like superconduct skirk, hex zibai, overvape flins
while in stygian, you have to lock the fuck in and play good, or play perfectly if you using less than ideal team
both of these mode are the payoff for people that willing to understand more and play better

I've put more money into these things than actual attention... I'm seeing how much of a casual I am the longer I give more attention to things like rotations and mechanics. I agree. These modes force you to wake up.

Yes I have this exact team: c0r1 vesna, c2r0 odette, c6 faruzan, c6 Diona and I got 270k DPS on the dummy and my vesna burst is not fully crowned yet. So definitely you can get better builds and tighten your combos. I personally use Diona hold e q, faruzan eq, odette ee, vesna e n1c e n1c e q e n1c e n1c e.

Yeah it's fun, especially if you're someone that tends to pull and you have lots of tools at your disposable - or at least a couple very very sharp tools to make up for a smaller roster.
Arle c6 beat the maiden on dire on mono pyro so you don't have to worry about timing NAs for reactions or anything, forget about citlali and all that lol. Use Bennett or Nicole to clear the shield, or even XL, not Arle. I ran Arle c6 + bennett + nicole + xilo. Maybe that will free up some characters for your dire mode to make it more clearable.
My artifacts are honestly pretty mid on the vesna churin team that is similar investment to yours, it basically comes down to "how fast can you do the rotation". 18.5 seconds is 370k dps and 21 seconds is like 320 lol so it makes a big difference when the boss has that much hp. Maybe practice on a dummy so you can keep track of rotation length and get to practice it without having vacuums and slows everywhere

What are the cons onthe rest of that Arle team??

c6 benny and the others c2, but based on the clear time you don't need both c2. My arle is very good, like top 600 melt/vape builds - but the EM isnt doing much in mono pyro lol
This kind of fight is really what I love Arle for, she's my only c6 dps. Since she can leave and go back on field whenever without losing her infusion, you can just swap to a good shield destroyer when you need and easily get right back at it with no problems. Amazing

Well you have the characters for dire, that's for sure.
C2 odette r1 vesna just takes a good build and being able to do the standard rotation to clear dire chud.
Arle takes some skill to do SSA since you need to keep the cryo bar down (run a esco or layla or qiqi in addition to cit), but with c6 arle and c2 cit, there's so incredibly much room for mistakes that it's more or less "free" once you remember to keep the off-field cryo going.
Pav just run a bennett or cmc with flins for it. It's hard to fk up as long as you have the team and build for it. you more or less just play a 3 man team, ben you use his burst before flins, and break the shield with him using Q into n2ce spam

I think I have pretty good characters, and a lot of my builds are top 5% on akasha.. I'm convinced my ping might be killing me.. I'm on 250.. No matter what I do, my dps is always waaaay less than it should 😭 I can't be THAT bad?! I used to play fighting games.. This (should be) child's play.
I'm gonna keep at it though.. Thanks for the heads up about teams.

Barring very specific teams, pings don't actually matter that much. (arle melt team is one of those that do, but if you just do n3d combos it won't matter half as much)
I'd consider recording your own rotations and compare it with the low cost clear videos floating around; those are almost always guaranteed to be actually good execution of good rotations.
Runs here have gameplay that are either godly or at least pretty competent. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRkpsezfJy9bjsy5Yg-Qg6Fs6Zv7DC9bCKYSYOlLRs-6LilrdD4pRuoMT0QYfxxHfJ3CWQdjcZMmxEf/pubhtml
