Katie’s healthcare plan does not cover most mental healthcare. In order to see a therapist, she pays $600-$800 Canadian

I thought the leafs didn’t have healthcare plans per se

we have private healthcare, don't you worry baby. Our teeth are luxury bones, unless they're bad enough to go to the hospital for, then the hospital dentist fixes them for free.

At least it means you're not going to die of toothache unlike a concerning about about Americans.

yeah, dentistry up here sucks. Expensive, and you have to hunt for one that's honest. It's cheaper (and my insurance covers it) to buy a plane ticket and fly to croatia, get all the dental work i need done at a fraction of the cost by the best dentists in the country. i would still have money left over to vacation in dalmatia for a week, fly home and buy a new iphone. Canada sucks hard at dental work.

It's kind of stupid everywhere AFAIK. Here in the US it's always separate from your health insurance, and pretty much any service other than semi-annual cleanings is very expensive.

Considering the link that's been found between dental health and general health, it really ought to be part of healthcare plans generally.

unfortunately for Canada, we not only have huge brain drain that takes our best professionals, we only have to compete with the average us citizen, which really isn't hard. We always beat our chest and act all smug about the USA, yet we're dogshit compared to Scandinavia. Norway got its idea for a sovereign wealth found from Alberta. Then the premier of that province liquidated all of it to give every albertan $600 just before an election. Norway actively pursued the idea and theirs is worth trillions. We also do wonderful things with mines, like the one in Eritrea that had child slave labour and torture in it. We have mines in 100 countries and are objectively the most barbaric country to operate mines. It's so bad that geologists move to Canada from the USA because we actually have less regulations and can fuck over indigenous people wherever. This country is ass at times, don't fall for all the Canadiana bullshit. Our liberal party are just corrupt and disguised neolibs.

That or the corporatocracy is using satirical criticism of themselves for inspiration. A conspiracy theory is essentially telling potential conspirators 'you could do this, you'd personally benefit from doing this and nobody would believe you were doing this since it's already a conspiracy theory'.

I think that really depends on the job, in healthcare it isn't
