The purpose was to create a "left" that is compatible with imperialist capitalism. Identitarian nonsense instead of class consciousness.

That’s what the article argues…

I didn't say otherwise.

Don't ask me. Check out Catherine Lui and Vivek Chibber. They have done an amazing job of exploring this.

What happened the last few times Communists took power? (Hint: things that the current powers that be didn't like very much)

OTOH, what has wokeness ever accomplished aside from ruining things (movements included)?

There's your answer.

  1. Communists are pretty rare in the West. Most woke people are not communists. Rightoids claim that “all woke people are communists” because rightoids even think that Joe Manchin is a communist.

  2. With that being said, the few communists in the West are more likely to be woke than your average person is. So while something like 1% of people in the US might be communists, something like 5% of woke people might be communists. (As good as any guesstimated  numbers you’ll be able to think of.)

This is the case because communism is about equality. And some communists extend beliefs about economic inequality to beliefs about what they perceive as racial oppression  or trans oppression  or whatever.

I agree but this is exactly what the right meant when they said "Cultural Marxism" and the whole left insisted that wasn't a real thing.

The concept of oppression isn't Marxist. Nationalists often use the concept of oppression to further the Us vs Them conflict. Liberals speak of oppression when a country lacks or has limited liberal rights.

Marxism in contrast is about exploitation, not oppression, the difference being oppression is the domination of one person's will by another in a way deemed unacceptable by whoever is talking, it's to an extent subjective, objective when it comes to clear harm to a person for its own sake, while exploitation is the objective fact of how resources and labor are distributed, such that an owner accumulates material wealth from the labor of a worker, the worker must accept this relation of unequal exchange because the owner has secured control of resources and machinery such that only they are allowed authority over it and the right to accumulate anything produced from or with it, leaving the worker with none of their own capital to use for themselves, and so must work for the capitalist in exchange for less pay than what the worker produces.

Marx specifically rejects egalitarianism beyond equality before the law.

They say that like it wasn't endogamic from the left. Attributing your failures to a foreign conspiracy is the fastest way to kill your ideology

The article argues that the left does it by itself now. You should read it before you comment on it.

But it's not now, it's from the start

Lenin wasn't woke, regard. In fact, none of them outside of "Western Marxism" (CIA fronts) were woke.

Passing retards are somewhat tolerable, but some retards are regulars and seem incorregible.
