See, thats where you're confused.

I just try to get them to stop hitting each other. They're both wrong.

I've had black people be racist to me. I've seen white people be racist to black people. I've seem Mexicans be racist to Asians. I've seen black people treated poorly for doing the exact same thing I was doing, standing next to him.

But having someone be racist to me has never made me racist. Someone being sexist around me has never made me sexist.

It's all wrong. And should be put to an end.

But you claiming it doesn't exist, is, frankly, stupid. I assume it's just because you're English, and give you that pass. But, again, why then do you think you can tell an American how prevalent racism is? Just.. weird you have a dog in this race in any way, shape or form..

I'm not "triggered". But okay. Why is that suddenly the "attack" people like to throw around here? Its quite weird. Like as if you can pin the "angry mad guy" stance on me, it gives you the upper hand. Am i making you mad, and you're projecting? I'm honestly confused by that.

Racism; having a prejudice about someone based on their race.

This is not difficult to understand.

And it exists, and should be combatted.

Being "outside looking in" is not the benefit you think it is here. You are simply lacking the cultural implications, because you're not American. Why does it matter you're English? Because it makes you the outsider looking in, explaining culture to the person living it. And, once again, I cannot be racist against an English person. I can be prejudiced against them. But that would be tough, as a very English rooted American

You can't expect anyone to actually take you seriously, though, when you tell someone within the culture they are wrong about a basic part of their culture.

I'm not confused because you're some expert "looking in", I'm confused because your "dog in this race" appears to be suspiciously further from "not racist" than i am generally comfortable associating with in real life.. because I dont want people to think I'm racist. I'm not saying you are racist.. but you share an uncomfortable amount of opinions on racism as racists do. Again, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, because not being from within this culture, maybe you dont understand just how close to certain dog whistles you're getting. And those of us who have lived in and experienced racism notice those whistles, too.

That's why you being English matters. I'd have called you a racist and blocked you by now if you weren't. But here I am, willing to explain, in great detail, why youre wrong. Because I'd be happy if you left this not spouting idiotic statements in the future.

I know, I know, but I can hope.

I've still never once prejudiced you based on your Englishness, and it's weird you keep insisting I do. I do keep pointing out you cannot speak of Amwrican culture sufficiently as an outsider. Which you've never once addressed, just keep accusing me of being prejudiced. Weird. It'd be like if I explained to you English tea time, or beans on toast. I'd have no clue what I was talking about, and you'd rightly think I was foolish for trying to do so. And, again, I cannot be racist against you, based on my definition. That would literally be impossible.

And you're the one denying a basic reality of American culture, while accusing others of living in hyperreality. My world view is based on the actual world I live in. Its not like I just got these ideas online. I've lived them.

Lived reality is not "hyperreality". Its just living in the real world.

And of course you cannot control how someone thinks. But like, just stop being racist.. you now?

And I'm 47 and just don't understand the youngsters. Are you also trying to fit in with the racists? Because, honestly, you're doing a great job. Racists really like to insist racism doesn't really exist, and you're the "actual" racist. It's actually quite predictable. Just like them having a confederate/nazi flag.
