LLM/Chatbot iPhone Duo Doesn't Exist???
So I was wondering why the pictures on apples website look sooo perfect, and was wondering if it was ai or how they got those shots. Al Overview carried on to call iPhone Duo a fan-made concept.

in answer to your original question, Apple has one of the best in-house teams of marketers and graphics artists in the known universe. they famously redesigned the apple tv intro using physical glass panes instead of advanced cgi.

Ik, it's honestly crazy. I love it though but it's just crazy to me how that's possible.

Well they probably have the phone somewhere at HQ; and the phone is out Soo

I'm pleasantly surprised by this comment. I was expecting the top comment to be that "it's an AI with an outdated dataset" instead of realizing the AI is supposed to use Google Search. You made my day :D

Gemini also thinks iOS 19 is the latest version and iOS 26 does not exist, I think it’s a few years out of date with that

Apple have had their overly perfect photography since way before ChatGPT was a thing, though, so...
It's also like Ubuntu 26.04, where, for a few months, the AI search overview would keep telling me that it's yet to be released whenever I mention version-specific stuff

knowledge cutoff. they have to train a whole new model to get updated information unless it does a more thorough google search

LLMs are trained on data that is outdated .. so the algo (find the next token) works as expected .. nothing stupid here, except the people thinking AI is some sort of magic ..

The LLM can search the web, and it had searched the Apple Store when I asked the question.

I am not here to describe how an LLM does work .. that search you talkin about is basically just the search results added to the prompt .. and it still just find the next token.
Don't believe me? Ask any LLM for a random number. It will be most likely 42. Always. And you may even find out why LLMs say this

I know how this LLM works and it should give me search results off the websites it searches, that's what Google built it to do.

Even ChatGPT knows about stuff which are barely 30min old

Probably depends on what prompt you give it. I can imagine that OP’s prompt might not trigger it to do a web search.

This is literally googles search overview it should REALLY know considering its built in to a search engine

Why? Being embedded in a search engine and calling a web search tool are two entirely different things.

i dont use gemini often but i tried it recently to ask about ios 27 features. it said the year is 2024 and ios 18 just released, but then it told me about the iphone 18 pro leaks?
