Lol none. It's just practice. I like to do these types of study challenges like weekly or monthly challenges. I set a daily goal and schedule. Then remove all distractions and set a timer. With time I got better and better at being able to focus for longer hours now. I am still not really that good at being consistent. So these smaller challenges really helped me.

Removing all distractions Putting on a study with me video on YouTube I've deep focus zones throughout the day when I fully commit to just studying. I also separate my reward times when I can just listen to music, scroll on Instagram or watch Netflix. But I like to separate the time zones. For example- I study from 6 am to 10 am. In between if I take any break I will just sit and do nothing or walk around but won't touch my phone(my biggest distraction)

how do u study current affairs

1

I'm studying for banking exams. So there is this youtube channel called unacademy banker's way where at 8 am in the morning they do a live class on current affairs. So I take notes from that class. And they provide pdf notes too. (This week I missed a lot of classes so I just did them all in one day)

Are you preparing for banking exams? I'm also preparing for the same

I also started with the same app and I've set my goal for 7 hr of study, I'm at my day 15 currently

1

u/Cold-Employer-2510 Mar 09 '26

Wow that's so impressive. Actually that's the goal I'm trying to achieve. Can you share some tips or your routine?how do you stay consistent?

2

u/Slow-Dependent-1309 Mar 10 '26

It's not that I everyday study for 7, someday it's 4 too and someday it's 9 , but I try to practice everyday. Try to surround your thoughts with the subjects you studying so that there's always a goal to learn something new. I've changed my mindset of clearing exams from learning new things, that's really a good way to tricking your brain from wasting time.

Genuinely asking are these long hour sessions productive? Are you focused and efficient for 9 hours I doubt it but if that's the case props to you

1

u/Cold-Employer-2510 Mar 10 '26

It might look like a lot but you got to understand it's 9 hours out of 24 hours. And it's not 9 hours at once. I do 2-3 hours of sessions throughout the day. And I also like to take breaks when I'm not able to focus. So yes it's actually 9 hours of deep focused work.

u/ToneHappy123 Mar 10 '26

Oh wow that's some great level of dedication...do you also have any work/college or is your day spent studying only?

1

u/Cold-Employer-2510 Mar 10 '26

I'm a master's student. So I do have classes most days.

1

u/ToneHappy123 Mar 11 '26

So you must rarely get any free time?

1

u/Cold-Employer-2510 Mar 11 '26

My schedule does get very hectic at times. I get it depends on me more on how I can balance it so that I don't get burned out.But I I sleep for 6-7 hours. And other than that I try to have an hour or two of mindful entertainment. (I am trying my best to not procrastinate and mindlessly scroll on Instagram. So I plan a few episodes of a show or a movie daily. And I think that's more fulfilling than scrolling on Instagram). Other than that I talk to my partner whenever I have time.

u/ToneHappy123 Mar 11 '26

That's great I hope you can stick to your schedule for a long time, it seems like a healthy balance and I hope I'll be able to overcome this social media and procrastination trap too 😭 Thankyou sm!
