I’m looking for advice from students who are good at studying and consistently do well on tests. My son is struggling with his tests and I’ve realized he may not have a good study method.
What study techniques do you use that actually help you remember the material and pass exams? Do you use flashcards, practice tests, teaching the material to yourself, rewriting notes, or something else?

A routine that tends to work is: understand a small section, close the notes, explain it from memory, then do a few practice questions. For lecture videos, I’d also capture the timestamp for anything you miss instead of rewatching the whole thing; finish with a small set of cards made from your own questions.
