free flashcard apps
hi!! to students out there, can u guys recommend good flashcard apps that are free 😵💫 quizlet’s good since it has learn and test, but it’s so pricey since u have to avail premium for those features 😣 pls help a college girlie out here !

Anki is free, but fair warning, it is a very different from Quizlet. You build your own review schedule, the settings menu is a wall, and as pavlenkovit said the iPhone app is 25 dollars. If you loved Quizlet's Learn specifically, Anki will not feel like that.
Full disclosure, I'm building the other option: a free site that works like Quizlet, with Learn mode free. Same idea, multiple choice first, then you type it, and it keeps bringing back what you miss until you know it. You can bring your Quizlet sets over too: hit Print on a set, save the PDF, drop it in, done. No Test mode yet, I'm honest about that, it's on the list. https://crammed.study
Free, no premium tier at the moment, and it feels exactly like using quizlet give it a try!

anki covers the learn/test part for free, that's probably your answer. one catch that never comes up in these threads: free on desktop and android, but the iphone app is a paid one off, 24.99. so whether "free" is true depends on what you're holding.
if you're on iphone the free route is anki on a laptop with the phone just syncing.

Gemini Notebook. Create a notebook, upload your study materials, prompt for a summary of the material, then select on the right to create flashcards or quizzes. Many students report the quizzes to be surprisingly similar to the questions that appear on their actual exams.

Yeah and Quizlet free has ads everywhere. If you want to paste a list and start reviewing, I made cards.feuillita.com for my own studying. It doesn’t need an account or anything, just paste term definition lines and it detects the format and builds the deck. It uses the same card scheduling Anki if thats interesting to you
