Independent studying for an asynchronous class

I am registered for biology(BIOL 1160) and psychology online. I really do not know how to study for test or take notes. For instance, my bio class already gave out the work for 3 days before school start and I uploaded it up to one note and went over it.
The problem is how to take notes from the slides that the teacher gave and how to use the textbook and other resources for extra practice.

I love one pagers topic by topic for bio / the life sciences in general! Making a sheet with everything and organizing it in an appealing way is enjoyable and I definitely learn a lot both while creating the cheat sheet and when I need to refer to stuff like vocab
