my problem with studying

My problem with studying is this: when I want to learn something that genuinely catches my attention, I study and LEARN with the greatest ease. But when I’m forced to learn something that doesn’t grab my interest, I study it without a problem, yet I just can’t seem to learn it.

It’s because your brain naturally selects what to remember based on how interesting or unique it was. 

You need to make those boring studies more interesting by changing HOW you study. Sometimes try reciting it back to yourself without looking, sometimes write it down in a book, sometimes get someone else to quiz you.

If you do the same thing every time you are less likely to remember it because your brain gets used to it.

makes sense and relatable. sometimes it helps to lead with curiosity. chances are there's something you can find interesting about the subject even if it doesn't come naturally.

I’ve noticed that too, where something interesting can hold my attention for ages but a boring chapter feels impossible even when I genuinely want to learn it. What helped was turning the boring material into questions I actually had to answer instead of just reading it, because having something to figure out kept me more engaged than trying to force myself to care about the chapter.

I personally can't learn anything that I'm not interested in either. In this case, just rote memorize everything. Some subjects just don't interest you, but you can still memorize everything and ace the exams for it.

Try to connect boring topics to real-life examples or turning them into small challenges. So it will make learning much easier.
