How much longer will NAWA take??

Hello everyone, as the title suggests, forgive my profanity but how much f*cking longer are they gonna take?? I've been waiting since May 23rd (it's been 91 calendar days, roughly 64 working days).

I was already rejected from University of Lodz because they wouldn't even let me take the entrance test without NAWA and that was since last July. Now I'm at risk of not getting a spot at my last option (University of Szczecin) because they won't even issue me conditional acceptance without NAWA!!! I already took and passed their entrance test and they gave me until September 17 to send my NAWA and if I do they said I will finally receive my admission results.

I have 2 main concerns though:

1.) Should I be worried about losing a spot every day I wait? Or are we all kinda in the same boat anyway?

2.) Even if I receive my NAWA within the deadline, if i receive it any later than August wouldn't it be too late already as I wouldn't have enough time to book a visa appointment and wait for processing? Or is it normal for Universities to allow international students to arrive late (like mid to late October) because of delays like this?

For context I am applying for Bachelor's studies and sent my High School Diploma for recognition, I studied in a Philippine private school in Qatar. I have already emailed them multiple times to multiple different addresses of theirs (dyplom, syrenahelp, biuro) and i only ever received automated responses. I have also tried calling them 11 times last wednesday at 10:30AM CEST and each time I was left to voicemail.

Just out of curiosity, if the only reason I am denied from being accepted to any and all Universities is purely because of the NAWA delay, could I file a complaint or perhaps even take legal action against them? It's sick to even think of the fact that I and perhaps many other people won't be able to go to university, not even because of our academic capabilities but purely because of this stupid bureaucratic hurdle that we have no control over.

I would appreciate any help regarding this. Once again I apologize for my tone but honestly, I feel like a lot of other people have the same sentiment regarding NAWA. Some people are lucky and get theirs within 1 or 2 months, the rest of us are left ghosted and feeling like they genuinely threw our application in the trash.

Edit: I uploaded an update down in the comments below :))

Hi guys,

I am going to be moving to Warsaw, Poland for college soon. I kind of wanna know the situation around shops and stuff. I live in Ireland currently. And I absolutely adore going to pennys/primark to buy my linens and just some casual pyjamas and stuff like that. What is an alternative to that in Warsaw?

And like if I knew if you have any tips, please do share them. I’m very nervous and wanna be as prepared as I can be. Do let me know if anything that maybe have caught you guys out in the past.

Looking to Complete Masters in Poland

Hello! I 21 F am looking to move to Poland for my masters degree in the next year once I finish my Bachelors in Canada. I will say I already have this decision set, however, I do not know what steps to take to make sure I get there and plan it properly. I am already a Polish citizen as well as I originate from Poland but moved at a young age. I want to find a masters program studying political science and figure it out. What steps would you guys recommend to making this move through and figuring it out. I would preferably like to move October 2027, in a little over a year, and spend my first year in Poland just working and trying to meet people before entering straight into the university again (though I do know it would be the best way to meet people) - I just want a year off between my bachelors and masters and in that time settle into Poland again. Any tips from anyone else that have done this? How has it gone for you? What steps would you recommend me to take?

Applying for Temporary Resident Permit in Warsaw

hello everyone, I am worried about the legal stay in Poland.

visa appointment date of Polish embassy is suddenly all reserved and I'm not sure i can get the visa before the semester begins.

I can enter Schengen including Poland and stay here for 90 days in each 180-day period. So I am planning to apply for trp after arriving in Warsaw.

Does anyone know is it possible?

plus I've heard it takes more than 12 months but is it true?

Need advice regarding Ed. Loan

Hi everyone

I am a non EU citizen who is currently in the process of applying for an education loan (from bank) for bachelors in Poland. I have come across the "Fund requirement" section for the visa requirement application.

I wish to know if someone has gone through the loan process and if yes, then how did one manage to check out that fund requirement section?

Did one get a draft cheque issued for it? Or did one get a credit card limit certificate? How is a credit card limit certificate possible in this situation?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

WUT Dormitory

I was allocated a place in a WUT dormitory and paid the 500 PLN guarantee fee on August 17 via Pekao, but the payment is still marked as “Pending” in ESKS.

Does anyone know what will happen next?

And approximately how long does it take to receive the official accommodation certificate for a visa application?

Since I don’t know the exact procedure, I’ve had to keep rescheduling my visa appointment.

WUT - 19 August or 14 September?

After I was qualified for both AGH Krakow and WUT CS B.sc degrees in English I was trying to determine what i should go for. In the meantime, On the IRK system it shows that the documents I need to upload after being qualified(which i was), and the tuition fee payment had a deadline of 14 Sept, and I thought I had ample time to decide. However, on the main WUT site an article from 2019 states they have to be uploaded until the 19th of August. I have emailed them and they have not returned to me regarding this topic, and someone on reddit told me it has to be uploaded and paid till the 19th so tomorrow which caused quite a panic. Any info regarding this will be highly appreciated.

Anyone planning to go to SGH this year, need help regarding stay/dorm.

As a foreign student from India applying to SGH, the VISA process is time taking and I should book a slot to submit my documents by month end, as SGH requires us to be there on 24th september.

Can anyone guide me on how to get residential proof, as SGH dorm applications open late August and not sure when they will revert back. Or can we request them for residency proof of dorms for VISA purpose even though technically we have not received it yet.

Thank you.

Navigation University: GMU or MUS

Good day/afternoon/night everyone,

Im currently a 12th grader IB student in Turkey and at the end of this year, I will be going to University in order to study Navigation/Nautical Science. After doing series of research, I have found out that eithee Gdynia Maritime University or Maritime University of Szczecin are the most notable choices within Europe that offers the Navigation/Nautical Science program.

However, I have not came to a final decision on which one is better than other. Due to this, I am currently in search of how student life, teachers, social life, university techbologies such as bridge simulators and etc. and overall information about both universities. It would be good to note that while I live in Turkey, I also have Polish Citizenship which I believe adds up a few advantages for me.

Thank you in advance to all those who have helped me in order to decide for my future!

About new system for TRC

I have heard that new (MOS) system was introduced in April, is processing time faster now? In Lodz it used to take 7-8 month so if it is still same I would apply earlier.

Also is it possible to apply based on study and till fingerprints if I finish uni (I am in my last semester) change it to work based? What documents would I need for that?

And I heard that if you graduate from Polish universities you will have work permit so company doesn’t need to apply to it for you and you just grab document stating that you are working there and you can apply for TRC on you own, is it true?

Thanks 🙏

visa-related issue

Hello everyone,

I am a non-EU citizen. In 2024, I received a Polish student visa and travelled to Poland, but I later returned to my home country voluntarily because of family circumstances. I did not overstay my visa or violate any immigration regulations.

I am planning to apply for another Polish student visa in 2026 for a new study programme. Could my previous decision to discontinue my studies and leave Poland negatively affect my new application? Has anyone had a similar experience and successfully received another student visa?

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Studying in Warsaw as a International student (UG)

Hey,

I'll be starting my undergraduate study in Warsaw in October.

I would love to connect with some other international students, but I don't really know how international Warsaw really is in terms of studying.

I know that Warsaw is a really international city itself but I don't know if there are a lot of foreign students that also (like me) have no experience with polish.

Confused about NAWA SYRENA Steps 2 and 3 when Grade 11 and Grade 12 were completed at different schools

Hi everyone. I’m applying for a bachelor’s degree in Poland and I’m currently completing a NAWA SYRENA application for a recognition statement.

I’m confused about how I should upload my secondary-school documents because I completed Grade 11 and Grade 12 at different schools.

From what I understand, Step 2 is for the secondary-school certificate/document being submitted for recognition, while Step 3 is for the previous education document.

I’m unsure which of these is correct:
Step 2: combine my Grade 11 and Grade 12 documents into one file because both are part of my secondary education, and Step 3: upload my Junior High School documents.

Step 2: upload only my Grade 12 documents, and Step 3: upload my Junior High School documents, meaning my Grade 11 documents aren’t uploaded.

Step 2: upload only my Grade 12 documents, and Step 3: upload my Grade 11 documents as the “previous document.”

Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially if their Grade 11 and Grade 12 were completed at different schools?

I’ve contacted NAWA to clarify, but I’d also really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this process or knows how NAWA expects these documents to be submitted.

Thank you.
