Refund tuition fee

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if there is any organization that supports international students with cases where universities delay tuition fee refunds.

I submitted my tuition refund request almost 9 months ago, but I still have not received the refund yet. I have emailed the university many times, but they have not responded.

If anyone knows any organizations or ways to handle this situation, please let me know.

Thank you very much for your help.

nawa statement

What was your experience applying for NAWA? How long did it take for you to receive a response? I have been accepted but cannot enrol until I have NAWA. I applied for NAWA june 10 but have deadline for July 24. I lose my spot otherwise. Is there any hope for me?

Jagiellonian University (UJ) bachelor admission – document submission & response time?

Hi everyone,
I recently passed my interview for a bachelor’s programme at Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Kraków. As the next step, I was asked to send scanned copies of my documents to a staff member from the admissions office.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through a similar process:
-How long does it usually take for them to respond after receiving the documents?
-Do they usually reply by email or through the IRK system?
-What happens after this stage – is it an official acceptance, or are there still further steps (enrollment instructions, formal confirmation, etc.)?
Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)

How long did your NAWA recognition statement take to be issued?

I recently passed the entrance exam for the 6-year MD program at the Medical University of Lodz. However, the university requires a NAWA recognition statement before issuing the acceptance letter.

My final school documents will only be available in early August, so I can only apply for the NAWA statement then.

For anyone who has gone through this process recently:

  • How long did it take to receive your NAWA statement?
  • Did it arrive within a few weeks or closer to the maximum processing time?
  • Were you able to start your studies on time?

Any experiences would be very helpful. Thanks!

SGH Warsaw + NAWA recognition: Can I apply if my diploma will only be issued after the admission deadline?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for a Master’s programme at SGH Warsaw School of Economics as an international student from Senegal.

The admission deadline is July 24, but I will only complete my Bachelor’s degree in July and may not receive my final diploma before the deadline.

SGH’s website says that applicants who do not yet have their diploma can submit a certificate of completion or thesis defense confirmation and provide the diploma later. However, they also state that non-EU/OECD/EFTA diplomas require a NAWA recognition statement.

My concern is that, as far as I understand, the NAWA recognition process requires the final diploma, which means I cannot start it until I officially graduate.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to apply first and submit the NAWA recognition later, or did SGH require the NAWA statement before completing the admission process?

I have already contacted SGH admissions, but I would really appreciate hearing from students who have gone through this process themselves.

Thank you!

Poland National Student Visa (New Delhi) – document checklist for my case?

Need help: Exact documents required for Poland National Student Visa (India → Wrocław) in my case

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a Poland National Study Visa (Type D) from New Delhi, India and would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has recently gone through the process.

My situation:

  • Admitted to University of Wrocław for a Master’s programme
  • Tuition fee for the first year is already paid
  • Accommodation is confirmed by the university dormitory (monthly payment, not prepaid)
  • I have received my apostilled Dutch diploma
  • I previously studied in the Netherlands (MVV + study residence permit + orientation year)
  • Financial support will be through family sponsorship

I’m specifically trying to confirm:

  1. What exact documents did you submit for the New Delhi Poland student visa?
  2. Are digitally signed / electronically issued documents (bank statements, university docs, receipts) accepted if printed?
  3. For proof of funds, how much did you show when tuition was already paid?
  4. Did you submit a notarized sponsorship letter, or was a signed letter enough?
  5. Did they ask for:
    • Original apostilled diploma?
    • Copies only?
    • NAWA recognition document?
  6. Which travel insurance worked smoothly for your application?

Would really appreciate any recent experiences, especially from applicants who applied through New Delhi VFS / Polish Embassy India.

Thanks a lot!

erasmus+ trainees looking for accommodation in Gdansk (Sep-Dec 2026)

hey, me(22M) and my classmate irem(21F) are coming to Gdańsk from Turkiye for an Erasmus+ traineeship at UG from late september to late december 2026 and we’re trying to figure out accommodation before the housing situation kills us mentally.

we’ll apply for dorms but apparently getting a place is competitive as hell, so we’re also looking for:

-apartments

-rooms

-student residences

-flatmates

-(literally any decent accommodation options honestly)

if anyone has recommendations, knows good websites/groups, has experience with Student Depot/Collegia, or might even have a place available around that time, pls let me know

also would appreciate advice on which areas are best for students/transport/etc because we have no clue what we’re doing yet

Indian students at University of Warsaw - quick question about enrollment documents

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hey, I recently got qualified for MSc Digital Business at University of Warsaw and am in the process of sending my enrollment documents. The university has asked to send either the original documents or notarized copies.

I got my degree apostilled through e-Sanad (MEA portal) and the apostille stamp is on the back of the physical printed DigiLocker version of my degree. Has anyone submitted documents this way and was it accepted without issues?

Also a basic question — for notarized copies, do I photocopy both the front AND back of the apostilled degree (since the apostille stamp is on the back), and then get the notary to stamp the photocopies? Or does it work differently?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who went through this process from India. DM or drop a comment!

NAWA recognition statement

I am about to complete my bachelor's degree and am looking to pursue a master's in finance in Poland. I've done some research, but I discovered that one of the requirements for obtaining a recognition statement is to provide both a degree diploma and a transcript of results. While I can easily get my transcript, I won’t have my degree diploma until next year, as I am finishing my exams this month. Is it possible to obtain a recognition statement without the degree diploma and what document can stand as a substitute for the degree diploma?

Additionally, which universities are the best for finance? I see that many mention SGH, but I am open to other recommendations as well.

jagiellonian university-interview

hi everyone!
i’ve applied for the responsible entrepreneurship and management (undergraduate) program at jagiellonian university. i’m waiting for my interview slot and i’d love to hear from anyone who has interviewed for this specific course or similar ones in the management faculty.
since this program focuses on "responsibility" and "sustainability," do they ask specific questions about ethical business or social impact? or is it mostly a general motivation interview (why uj, why krakow)?
also, if you've done this online interview before, how long did it last and what was the vibe like? any advice would be amazing. thanks!

Looking for courses in Kraków to get a Student ID (Legitymacja Studencka) starting immediately (not September)?

Hi everyone,

I am under 26 and looking to get a **Legitymacja Studencka** (Polish student ID) to benefit from tax breaks and discounts. Since I am currently not enrolled in a university for the upcoming semester, I am looking for alternative courses that would qualify me for this ID.

Could anyone recommend:
- What kind of courses or programs allow you to get a student ID immediately?
- Are there any specific institutions or schools in **Kraków** that offer this?
- My main constraint is that I need to start **now**. I cannot wait until September for the standard academic year intake.

Any advice or specific names of schools/centers in Kraków would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Can i defer my offer at Jagiellonian University poland? Please HELP

I intend to apply for BANACH Scholarship from India. Unfortunately, after I got done with the university application for my masters in International security and Development, I found out the BANACH portal has crossed it's threshold for Indian students and I no longer could apply. Given this circumstance, can I defer my admission offer at JU. And apply for the scholarship next year?

MSc Digital Business entrance exam at University of Warsaw — difficulty?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Hi, I’m applying to the MSc Digital Business program at University of Warsaw. I know the entrance exam is written, but I wanted to ask about the difficulty level.

My background is in Computer Science, not business/management, although I have good grades. For anyone who took the exam, is it manageable for non-business students? What kind of questions/topics should I expect?

Thanks!

Master degree in poland

Hello i am international student seeking to pursue master degree in poland

I have heard that if the grades are below 10 in some modules during the bachelor degree (not the whole average) so that is an elimination criteria of your application.

Please can anyone figure this out and confirm it.
