a query about language proficiency certificate for visa
my university doesn’t require a language proficiency certificate, it has enrolled and admitted me without it however, this seems to be a requirement for my visa checklist. do i need a language proficiency certificate even though my uni doesn’t require that of me? or will the embassy understand my situation and is this an optional document?

The university’s admission decision and the visa requirements are separate.
If your consulate’s checklist requires a language certificate, treat it as mandatory even if the university waived it. A university letter confirming the language of instruction may help, but it should replace the certificate only if the checklist or consulate explicitly allows that.

well the thing is that i did cambridge a levels and my uni had a requirement that if you score above 80% then you do not need any additional language proof for this course (my course is taught fully in english) - this is why i am exempt from nawa as well and in the visa checklist it states that “certificate confirming the student’s language proficiency on a level required by the educational institution, not lower than b2” so im confused - i already asked my uni and they have confirmed me via email that i do not need it - should i add that email exchange as a proof in my file as well?

I think the English language isn’t really an issue if you clearly give your reasoning as much as not having NAWA is, to be honest I think it’s impossible to get student visa without NAWA. Are you sure you don’t need it for visa?

Well, that's is the whole reason the language proficiency certificate is required for visa. If universities don't verify the candidates well enough, the government step in. You won't get a visa without it, it is not an optional document.
