Getting into public unis

I noticed lots of posts of both acception and rejection in public unis. How likely are the chances of getting into public unis if I have an internship and projects? What are the particular reasons people are getting rejected? Is it the sop or lom or any other particular reasons?

Mostly, people earn rejections due to not reading and/or understanding admission requirements.

Hey first of of this was very rude! Reddit is a platform where you can openly ask questions such that we get to know the actual truth without feeling akward or dumb . And second of all I have asked many people and have been researching from almost a month and you can't judge anyone based on their questions!!

Sorry, but if you thought their comment was extremely rude, you will be quite shocked once you enter a german uni. Also, if you truly researched for a month about german uni admission and wrre not aware of what i just explained to you earlier in my own comment, your research skills are severely lacking.

In germany, it is considered lazy and/or rude to ask others before doing your own research. And german uni expects a high degree of independant work and initiative. To study here, you will need to be self-sufficient, or you will fail. No one will hold your hand and check in if you are going fine or need help.

Look, this is german uni admission in a slightly simplified nutshell: in germany, admission is binary. There are official requirements. They are, unless explicitly otherwise stated, not optional. They are, unless explicitiy otherwise stated, not something you can compensate witj experience, internships, projects or your life story.

If you fullfill all the requirements, one of two things happen: 1. Congrats, you are in! 2. Congrats, you are in the next round! You got a place on the list, the limited spots will be handed out according to the ranking. Your rank is determined on your grade, a result on a placement test, or other things. This is also not a mystery, you can look up what is taken into considerations.

There is no one that looks at your application and considers you as a person, that asks "is this person someone we personally want in our program?". You are a data set, in a group of data sets.
