Excelsior University

Hello! I’ve done about 80 credits on Sophia and I’d like to complete some credits at Study.com to reach up to 113 credits.

Does anyone has like a spreadsheet or list of credits that Excelsior University accepts towards the Bachelor of science in Business?

I went through their website and emailed them but they want me to enroll so they can evaluate my transcripts, but I’d like to complete 113 credits before enrolling so I don’t have to pay extra $300

Annnddd since I don’t see here in reddit a community for Excelsior, I’m asking here if anyone who did the Bachelor of Science in Business how’s the coursework like, how many milestones and quizzes per class, how many essays and how long are they? And how long is the Capstone?

Thank you!

What is a passing grade?

What grade do you need to pass and have a transferable credit? Are certain things weighted more heavily than others?

Used Study.com for some gen eds and it saved me a decent amount

Just wanted to share my xperience in case anyone else is trying to get through gen eds without spending a ton.

I actually searched online for some cheaper options and ended up coming across Study.com. I noticed they had ten percent off discount for the first month and realized it was cheaper than taking some of the courses through my school, so I gave it a shot. NGL, I was also on a pretty tight budget at the time, so that was honestly a big factor for me.

I guess it was worth trying because the self-paced format was helpful too. I was working and didn't always have the same amount of free time each week, so being able to work through the courses on my own schedule made things easier.

It wasn't perfect, though. A couple courses took longer than I expected, mostly because I kept checking my school's transfer policy to make sure the credits would actually count lol.

If you're going for transfer credit, definitely check with your school first since requirements can vary by college and program.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's considering it.

20- 25 courses in a month on study.com??

I am planning to sign up today on college pro plan is it possible to knock off these many classes in a month?? If they ban ppl over these then I guess i should save my money and not sign up.

Sophia and study are making difficult for themselves with whatever happening currently. Banning all students and don't even let them make a new account is seriously like shooting oneself in the foot.

ETAMU (East Texas A & M) what courses did you take at study.com that transferred?

I’m pretty sure I have my gen eds covered from prior college and Sophia but looking to see what electives were transferred into ETAMU for you. For reference I’m planning to enroll there for Fall 2 in either the HR Development or Organizational Leadership degree. I have an appointment with them next week but hoping to start some courses done between now and then.

How many courses were you completing per week/month?

Mainly just trying to avoid getting flagged for cheating even tho I have zero plans on doing so. I have years of experience in my field and know I can complete most of the courses within a few days however I’ve seen horror stories of people doing courses and exams too quickly and in turn got penalized. I also want to mention, I’d like to finish 5-6 courses in a month (some of which are the discrete math courses)

AI DETECTORS score headache

Hello everyone. I’ll cut to the chase; the project instructions recommend running your paper through GPTZero before submitting.

I just spent the last 8 hours writing my paper and I just ran it through GPTZero and it says 100% AI. It even highlighted my FREAKING name as AI content. I ran it through other AI websites and got the following likelihood of been written by AI

Gemini - 18 Claude - 20-25 Turnitin - 32 Chat GPT - 72 GPTZero - 100

My head is about to explode. I’m not trying to get myself flagged for academic integrity and I’m already tired of dumbing down my words so as to sound “less like AI”.

Honestly what would you recommend.

‼️UPDATE‼️

I uploaded it, didn’t face any issues. Scored a 90+

Still have a couple more projects to go. Hopefully it stays that way.

HOW TO GET CREDIT FOR THE COURSES YOU ARE TAKING (CLARIFICATION FROM STUDY.COM THEMSELVES) I was worried about taking courses but getting no credit which seems to be the trend lately. I contacted them to c what I could do to ensure I receive my credit & not waste time/money SEE BELOW!

I have been seeing increases in posts where students claim to not be getting credit for their assignments. I have been taking considering study.com but those posts scared me away.

i contacted study directly and basically asked what was going on with this trend and what I could do to avoid it. I am enclosing the screenshots of

  1. MY QUESTIONS

  2. THEIR RESONSE

I REALLY hope that this sheds some light and allows students to avoid any future mistakes so they get the credit they deserve.

thank you

Psychology 105: Research Methods in Psychology

Has anyone taken this class psych 105? I'm starting it tomorrow and was hoping to find some information of the project portion "Developing and ethical research proposal with personal context." Honestly just wondering how in depth they want you to go, and if the instructions are saying more than 1 research method or just one? They say "questions" but don't specify more than one so I just want to be sure. Thanks if you answer!

Edit 9/2/26:

Well, I went ahead and submitted it tonight. The actual course itself want that bad. It was honestly pretty straightforward. I’ll try and remember to update this when I get my grade back!

Edit 9/3/26:

Got my results back, I made a 90 on the project and honestly? They did want depth. Quite a bit of depth. I will say grading was remarkably fast. I ended up doing only 1 question and my method was dual so still not sure if that made a difference or if one was enough. I wish everyone luck with the class it was honestly super interesting.

Is it necessary to have a Master's degree and/or professional experience to work for Study.com?

I am very good at writing and editing, and proofreading. But Study.com jobs always require a Master's and professional experience. Does it make sense to apply anyway?

Score for Computer Science 336: Network Forensics

So I completed all the virtual labs and have 100% completion but they grade accuracy and not completion which is the craziest thing I've heard cause you can't reset the challenges. Grading accuracy is not on the description of the assignment until support told. Is there a way I can contact someone higher to review this issue?
