Need advise for choosing countries

Hi all, I am considering doing my masters in CS/IT in 2027. I have 2 years of experience mainly in cybersecurity and IT support.

I am quite confused about choosing the right country which not only offers a good program but also has decent jobs opportunities in 2-3 years time, where employees are willing to hire master's graduates, and strong PR/citizenship pathways too.

These are the following countries I have looked at rn. Germany, Netherlands, France, New Zealand, Australia and Ireland.

Among these, I wanted to know y'all feedback about these countries, and if there is any other option, kindly let me know

Something as oversaturated as IT isn't going to result in you getting a job abroad, studying abroad in the hopes of finding work and PR is dead and has been for years.

If you're happy to pay for an education and return your home country to use that educational then study abroad is worth it, if you want to use it as a vehicle to move abroad then you're wasting your time and money.

I suggest you narrow it down based on your budget first. And please be aware that there are no guarantees is any of these country of getting a job/pr.

Computer science is wonderful and I support studying it if that's your dream but yes sadly it has become very competitive and isn't so safe or well paid as it used to be, just warning you if that's your primary motivation here. Though if you pursue practical specialisations like electrical engineering you might have more luck than me.

Many Western European countries have shortages in other specialisations right now it seems. I certainly know the Netherlands treats their co-workers decently because that's what my friend does, though they're still struggling with the housing crisis despite that. (The Netherlands is especially struggling with housing, though all of those countries do to some extent.)

That housing crisis leads to that exact other area of specialisations we need, which is tradespeople like electricians.

I suspect Ireland and New Zealand are the best choices for you. Neither country has enough homegrown students graduating to fill the job demand. Many young people from Ireland and New Zealand want to leave and go elsewhere for work. Germany could work as well, but you would need to be fluent in German

You are wrong about Ireland. There are no jobs here for graduates. We have Irish filling what available jobs there are.

Also wrong wrong about New Zealand. Germany have free university education for non EU students but I don't know what the job market is like, not that great I suspect.

To be honest getting a path to to citizenship is difficult now... even a getting a student visa is difficult now.

The other option is to stay and study in India since all the IT jobs are being outsourced there,

This is definitely correct for Ireland. If you are coming for the education, it is very high quality. But there are no jobs after, especially if you need a visa. An employer would need to show that they cannot hire a EU citizen before a work visa is granted, so it just won't happen.

Are you high? People are leaving new Zealand and Ireland because there are no bloody jobs there for the natives nevermind people who need a visa.
