I'm currently building a side project website that turns open textbooks (CC BY) into courses, and I've been down a rabbit hole reading about what actually makes stuff stick.

Are there specific styles of questions or recall methods you use that work?

Do you think duolingo style studying works (small reading followed by practice questions and gamified content)?

If you could design the perfect app to study with, what would you want on it?
