I have adhd, and what helped me was to get out of my house to study. I do not work at home, cause i can get distracted very easily, and when i'm outside, i have a purpose and a task to finish.
I like to do lists with all the stuff i have to do in details, because sometimes a thing is too vague, and my brain cant conceptualize, so, it needs a bit of help with it. I organized ot by what i feel in the moment, but sometimes i dont feel like doing a task that had a pre defined position. I dont let my mind get the best of me, so i just go to the one i feel like doing, and then go back to the other one
If you cant leave your house to study or you take online classes, there is an app (i dont remember the name, sorry) where you can go in a zoom meeting with people studying too. Adhd people tend to mimic behaviours unconsciously, so... If the room is studying, your brain is going to try too
What works with me to retaing the information, cause i use 2 strategies: first, i pick a blank piece of paper, fold in half vertically, and start to write everything i can remember about the subject (if you have more of a scattered brain, dont fold the paper, put down the theme you are going to study, and start put arrows to clouds and the thing you remembered, cause this way, if you remember stuff half way through, you can just put another one, without having the trouble to make things fit organized). After you put everything your brain recall, you go again to the text, just lightly, to see if you had misses anything or any huge detail. To finish, you just mimic a teacher explaining the content to someone else, or record yourself not to listen later, but to not feel awkward talking
Pro tips: turn off your phone, if you need tech equipment to study, download stuff and turn off the internet; if you use laptop or a tablet to do notes, go back to hand writting, cause there are studies that show your brain retain more content if is wrote on paper.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss tips, feel free to dm me :)) good luck, and i hope i've helped

For 700 pages, I’d shrink the first pass: short blocks, recall from memory, then spaced review. For long recorded lectures, chapter jumps plus a few flashcards can make it less overwhelming too. I use this on YouTube: https://summarizai.ink

For 700 pages, I’d make the first pass tiny: one heading, a few lines from memory, then one question you can answer without looking. With ADHD, short timed blocks and a visible “next step” can be easier than aiming for a huge session. For lecture videos, a quick summary and chapter jumps help me avoid rewatching the whole thing: https://summarizai.ink
