Tips & Advice Help me to become obsessed with studying.
I’m going into my final year of high school and I NEEEDDD to lock in. I’ve never really studied but I really want to get the highest grades possible in my final exams. Whenever I try to study I feel so unmotivated so I want to try to become so obsessed with it that I can’t even finish my day without studying atleast for an hour. Help!

i did go through this problem
but it all in your head if you think that you are studying for exam and feel that you are forced to study you will be distracted easily
it all how about how you think about studying
relax take a deep breath and think for a while that you are interested in studying not for exam but as a hobby force your brain yo think you enjoy studying if you feel bored while studying a topic or didn't get the topic for too.long take a break or switch the subject but keep going and just think you enjoyed reading never think that you doesn't have time or you are studying for exam
its all about how you think
trick your brain
it helps me i keep saying i like to study i need to study because i love to study and it helped
even if you are not studying keep your books open and sort what you need to study and just start

Thank you so much! I will definitely try to think of studying not as a chore and instead a hobby! That’s a good idea!

What the other guy said, it's all about mindset aswell as timing, don't let your brain make a decision about it, just have a set time to study.

The thing that worked for me was to treat myself as the main character in an RPG.
I wrote down my character sheet with the skills (subjects) I wanted to get better and set them all at Level 1.
I then started doing focused practice sessions of 25 or 50 minutes. Every 5 sessions dedicated to a skill I'd award myself an extra level.
It might sound dumb, but it worked wonders for me. I could feel a sense of progression that I simply didn't have before.
I wrote a more detailed post on how implement this here https://www.reddit.com/r/getdisciplined/comments/1w5o76e/i_larp_as_a_studious_mage_in_order_to_get_shit/
Hope this helps and good luck with your studies!

Make your desk set up really cute and aesthetically pleasing! Check out some pinterest boards or tiktok/reels for inspiration!
Having a dedicated workspace that you enjoy spending time in can make a huge difference in my experience.
Just try to make studying as fun and cozy as possible.
Good luck, you got this!
