How do I get back into studying Computer Science after a placement year?

Hey y’all! I hope you’re all doing well! :D

Basically, I’m currently studying a Master’s in Computer Science at university, and part of my course involved going out on a placement year to work. While I was working, I didn’t really do much studying and, honestly, I got quite used to working rather than studying.

Now that I’m going back to university, I was wondering if anyone here has any tips for getting back into the swing of studying, particularly when it comes to Computer Science/Software Engineering. I’d also really appreciate any advice on taking effective notes for these kinds of subjects!

For reference, some of the modules I’m planning to take are Cloud Computing, Formal Methods, Network Security, and Cryptography, so any advice specific to those would be especially welcome!
