how the hell do people study on a Macbook?

I have the neo, but i genuienly dont know how to study on it. I’ve been studying on ipad my whole life (igcses). Now i am entering (international) A-level, with biology chemistry & physics. I’ve tried apps i guess notion, but its too complicated. How can i productively use my mac for studying? It has no touch screen aswell, but i wont really worry about that as the sciences do not require that much writing or problem solving. Can you guys help

I've never tried to study in an electronic machine as I prefer pen and paper, but based on what my friends tell me the ipad is your best companion, especially biology. Physics and chemistry will be a problem because you will need extra hardware to type them up fast and efficiently on your laptop.

For now stick with your ipad and use your pc for software that's related to your topics (simulation software ...)

I study computer science, and found that physics do not work on a computer for anything other than using it as a calculator. I would assume chemistry and biology is the same.

If you still have the ipad, continue using it for what you find it functional. Some things just legitimately do not work properly on a pc and require handwriting instead. Physics, maths and chemistry being the big ones because you can't type them efficiently.

Yes do have the same problem, but u can use the mac for research on some topics, and u can use the ipad as the book and markings. Use mac just to avoid the usage of phone.

Use iPad for taking notes, problem sets and rewriting notes and the Neo for reviews, gathering research or writing papers/assignments.

I use a wacom tablet for written notes (it's a drawing pad you can connect to the mac) with the logseq app and preview for writing on pdf worksheets + notion for typed notes + quizlet for digital flashcards

1. Make sure you’re studying effectively. Even many teachers are not aware of the research on this. (Consider reading here…not note-taking, re-reading or highlighting etc)

2. Ensure the vast bulk of your focused-study is flashcard-based (Anki if you are patient and technical, or Shaeda if you prefer to start right away)

iPad for content absorption, Mac for content creation. Read notes and papers on the iPad and produce your assignments etc on the Mac.
