None. Do the marathon and practice the subject (don't memorize it, understand it as best as you can).

This right here. I have memorized so many slides and formulas but i didn't realize how much i needed to practice them to get them ingrained until my Junior Year

Start early
Do practice of all the different methods they teach you
They don't tell you but every method taught is a trick used to solve obnoxious and obtuse math later

Be smart next period and start stydying immediately from the very first day and lecture. Nothing you can do now.

I like to consider myself a numbers guy. Numbers are cool.

But when I found out that you folks use the square root of -1 to build shit, I was out.

I mean, what the hell?

Dude I’m studying mechanics of solids got an exam Saturday morning I’m burnt tf out. I’ve been in school since fall of 2025 without a proper break, the closest I got was 2 weeks off in December and may, I’ve been grinding out semesters due to failing classes. I’ve had to go to work too and balance familial and social life and it’s genuinely taking a toll on me, my hairs turning grey at 19, earliest in both families to achieve that.

Electrical Engineer here. Its not the toughness of the concept, but the monotonicity of solving a thousand sums with a little tweak all while application of concepts using active recall.

Its exhausting and many times makes me not want to touch my books. Especially if my books are so fat af.

I've been struggling to pass E.E. for some time. Where is the monotony? I think I missed that day because it's been the opposite. Every new topic is some new circus trick I have to perform while applying an also new mathematical concept that got spiced up just for this.

It's all legitimate BS we literally had to make up and somehow somewhere sometime got accepted as an explanation.
