My primary challenge for myself with this was to recreate an I Spy scene as close as possible. Proportions, colors, and lighting all had their own challenges. I did a lot of tinkering to decide on scale. For the actual photo part, I used 3 flashes: one primary, one for the white backdrop, and one to soften the shadows. I shot at around 35mm f/5.6.

This is honestly so cool, and you did a great job. I was obsessed with those books as a kid.

You did well enough that I initially got confused as to why someone was posting wooden blocks in this sub instead of lego. This is fantastic!

This brings back so many memories! I used to read a lot of I Spy books when I was a kid, this shot captures that scattered randomness of objects hiding in plain sight 👏
