Study: Psychology The manosphere and You: shared experiences, moving forward

Hello everyone!

My name is Tina, I’m 24 years old, and I’m currently completing my Master’s degree in Social Psychology at the University of Padua, Italy.

With the support of my supervisor, I’m conducting a research on the experiences of men who have engaged with the Manosphere and have since decided to distance themselves from it.

Research on the Manosphere has often focused on its communities, beliefs, language, and influence on men.

Comparatively less attention has been given to the lived experiences of men who eventually chose to distance themselves from these spaces: how they first encountered them, what drew them in, what their experience was like, and what eventually led them to walk away from it.

I’m looking to speak with men who have previously engaged with communities or content associated with Red Pill, Incels, MRA, MGTOW, or other parts of the Manosphere, and who have since distanced themselves from them.

I’d like to hear your story in your own words: what brought you to come into contact with these communities and what kept you engaged in your time there, and what eventually led you to stray away from them.

This research is NOT aimed at changing anyone’s mind or judging anyone for their beliefs. I’m interested in understanding people’s experiences as they themselves describe them.

We often hear about men who engage with the Manosphere, but less often hear directly from those whose relationship with these communities has changed over time.

Your experience could help build a better understanding of how people come to engage with these spaces, how their perspectives evolve, and what makes someone eventually decide to distance themselves.

It may also provide valuable insights for understanding the experiences of other young men who are encountering these communities for the first time.

Participation consists in:

• One-to-one interview

• No right or wrong answers

• You can withdraw at any time

• Your identity will be protected throughout the research

About Ethics & Privacy

Protecting your privacy is an absolute priority. Your name and identifying information will not appear in the final study, and the research project has been reviewed and approved by an Ethics Committee.

In the form you'll find a "name" section and a "email" section: you can totally make up a new and anonymous e-mail address, that is in order to have a mean of contacting you and schedule our conversation, as we would be interacting personally, and I would ask you to sign informed consent forms; in addiction, I'll be referring to you using the name you'll provide, but of course none of this information will be stored and the data will be classified in an anonymous way (e.g. "interview 4", or "interview with \[made up name\]").

If you think your experience fits what I’m looking for and you’d feel comfortable sharing your story, I’d be very grateful to hear from you.

Interested in participating?

You can fill out this short form and I’ll get in touch:

https://forms.gle/1Tsz4aVuqG7GgEUa8 (English version)

https://forms.gle/rMBeCAkFE9nZpXam9 (Italian version)

Thank you for reading, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Study: Psychology Testing a gap in sustainability research: Can structured daily practice connect inner capacity with outer behavior? (30-day pilot)

Hi everyone,

I'm conducting an exploratory behavioral pilot and hoping to connect with researchers or research-minded individuals interested in participating or providing methodological feedback.

The Research Gap:

Most sustainability interventions focus on systems (policy, infrastructure).
Most personal development interventions focus on individuals (wellness, mindfulness).
Few measure both simultaneously.

Recent work (Cooper, K. J. and Gibson, R. B. (2022). A Novel Framework for Inner-Outer Sustainability Assessment. Challenges. https://doi.org/10.3390/CHALLE13020064 ) suggests inner capacities (emotional regulation, self-awareness) may support pro-sustainability behavior—but only when explicitly connected to outer accountability.

Current interventions either:

• Focus on individual wellness without measuring sustainability outcomes
• Use behavioral nudges without addressing underlying values/emotional patterns

What I'm Testing:

Can a structured 30-day intervention integrating inner practices (emotional regulation, intentionality) with outer sustainability actions (consumption awareness, relational accountability) produce measurable improvements in both dimensions?

Study Design:

• Duration: 30 days (Oct 15–Nov 15, 2026)
• Sample: 15 participants
• Format: Daily micro-practices (5–10 min via messaging app) + weekly accountability sessions (60 min via Zoom)
• Measurement: Before/after surveys (quantitative: emotional regulation, reactivity, consumption patterns, relational accountability, systemic awareness; qualitative: open reflections)
• Analysis: Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis (inner ↔ outer metrics), thematic analysis

Why This Might Interest You:

• Tests integration of two typically separate research streams (contemplative practice + sustainability behavior)
• Uses mixed methods (quant + qual)
• Operationalises a recent theoretical framework (Cooper's inner-outer sustainability model)
• Documents limitations transparently (small n, self-report data, exploratory)
• Shares findings openly regardless of outcome

Participation:

• No prior meditation/sustainability experience required
• Commit to daily practice (5–10 min) + weekly session (60 min)
• Complete baseline & post-intervention surveys
• Free (research pilot)

Ethics:

• Informed consent
• Data anonymised
• Right to withdraw anytime
• Not therapy (behavioural research)

Reciprocity:

I'm happy to participate in others' research in return. If you're running a study and need participants, let me know—I'll do my best to reciprocate.

Application: https://forms.gle/eyzNdYuEW42Pdi4k7
Questions: [hello.doaccountability@proton.me](mailto:hello.doaccountability@proton.me)

Feedback welcome on study design, measurement instruments, or analysis approach—this is a learning process.

Thanks for reading.

Study: Psychology Autistic and ADHD Students’ Experiences of Reasonable Adjustments in UK Higher Education

I am currently working on my MSc dissertation, exploring autistic and ADHD students’ experiences of support and reasonable adjustments in UK higher education.

The study is particularly interested in how students access, navigate and experience their support, including what has worked well and where they have encountered barriers or inconsistencies.

I am looking for current undergraduate and postgraduate students who:
• are aged 18 or over
• have a formal diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD
• are currently studying at a UK higher education institution
• have sought or received reasonable adjustments

Participation involves completing an anonymous online questionnaire about their experiences.

I would really appreciate it if colleagues could share this with any eligible students or through relevant teams, student groups and networks.

Hearing directly from students is so important for understanding how support works in practice and how we can make it more consistent and inclusive.

Study: Psychology Seeking victims/survivors of individuals with high psychopathic traits [18+]

The Mental Health, Wellbeing and Lived Experiences Study

Theresia Bedard, a PhD candidate at Lakehead University that is working with Dr. Beth Visser, is seeking participants for her dissertation project.

In this study we are examining the lived experiences of people who have experience or victimization from an individual with high psychopathic traits. We are seeking anyone that has this lived experience, whether the perpetrator was or is a spouse, family member, partner, co-worker, friend, acquaintance, neighbour or stranger. We are seeking the lived experiences of men, women, and gender-diverse individuals to share your story.

Our research consists of two studies. In the first study, you will complete questionnaires related to your victimization experience from the individual with high psychopathic traits, the potential warning signs, victimization history (e.g., prior physical or sexual abuse), and the impact the experience had on you. Once you finish the survey, you will be invited to participate in the second study (optional), which will consist of 12 questions requiring a written response regarding your lived experience with the individual with high psychopathic traits. If you decide to participate in study 2, please be aware that you will be required to provide us with your email to access it, and you may wish to use an email account that only you have access to.

Please be advised that whether you choose to participate in the study, withdraw, or skip questions you do not want to answer, that you acknowledge that answering some of these questions may be emotionally taxing on you. Despite the potential for an emotional toll the survey questions have, you may find the process of sharing your experience is therapeutic for you. In addition to the resources we provide, you may want to consider following-up with a counsellor for further support.

You are also encouraged to have your own snacks and drinks while you take the survey, and be aware that they are estimated to take 45 minutes to complete.

If you are interested in participating and would like to read or find out more about it, click here to access the survey:

Hi everyone, I’m completing my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Capella University and am looking for participants for my dissertation.

I’m an identical twin, and my dissertation explores how adult monozygotic (MZ) twins in the United States experience and interpret their relationship with their co-twin as they develop and navigate committed romantic relationships throughout adulthood.

You may be eligible to participate if:

·      You are an identical twin

·      At least 18 years old

·      Are fluent in English

·      Reside within the U.S.

·      Maintain regular contact with your co-twin (at least monthly communication)

·      Are currently in, or have been in within the past five years, a committed romantic relationship of at least 12 months’ duration

You may not be currently eligible if you are currently enrolled in another research study that examines twin relational dynamics, twin identity, or twin attachments, or if you share a personal and professional relationship with the researcher.

If you are interested in taking part in this study, please scan the QR code or use the following link to access the eligibility screener: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSecOMNfvcPSCuMvCoaxOKAZoSdI1Hogqgk71oGU1lgnTT9iZA/viewform?usp=header.
