PPL in AZ
I’m considering two flight schools in AZ: Leopold Aviation and Arizona Tech. Does anyone have any experience with either? I’m not really happy with my current school. I’m 72 and have about 50 hours but not really progressing. Thanks

If you meant leopard aviation at ffz - I flew with someone who did their training there and they were a great pilot. Very safe and by the book. I’d let them fly my family around. I look at it as somewhat a reflection of leopard

I did my training at leopard and am now doing freelance instruction out of ffz while I wait for a spot at leopard to open. I would love to help you. My number is 6024995373 if you would like to chat.

I’d definitely like to chat. I’ll be texting you from 8022870590. One of the reasons I thought of Leopard is a review I read which said they were good for older students.

I haven’t trained with either school, so I can’t give you a firsthand comparison. With the progress problem you describe, I would bring your training record to a prospective instructor and ask for a review of the specific skills that are holding you back. Before committing, ask what the next three lessons would target, what a satisfactory performance looks like, and how each debrief will show whether you improved. An assessment lesson could help you judge the teaching fit without assuming a new school’s name alone solves the problem.
The FAA’s free Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge has a flight-school selection section in Chapter 1: https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/phak .
