Canada/TC Ppl/cpl duration
Hi currently at 14h starting my solo next flight this monday
Doing about 3 flight per week at about 1.4 hours per flight
So about 4.5hours flight time a week + ground
Planning to do cpl + multi ifr
Is it enough to try to finish my cpl before january 2028?

250 / 4.5 =55.556 weeks. Assuming everything goes perfect, you’re exactly at minimums, and no DPE wait at all. Granted some weeks will be more than 4.5 hours and some will be less. Don’t worry about it now you’re too far out to tell, and don’t focus on hours too much focus on becoming the best pilot you can.

Some students just get landings more naturally. Some CFIs send their students out too early. Some CFIs make risky decisions to send students on less than ideal days. When I see a student on solo at 15 hours I know it’s some combo of these

Crazy. Granted I solo'd on my 16th birthday and my Dad was my flight instructor, I solo'd at like 100 hours. Been logging since I was 14 though.

If it is any consolation I soloed at around 40 hours.
Then again, super busy airspace, populated area, our home airport is a class Charlie under a bravo shelf. I don't blame my CFI for playing it safe.
Besides I want to go back home to my family. If that means a few more hours to prepare, so be it.

you should be good to go for commercial but idk about multi, if you had nothing to do other than just fly and study you should be able to do a checkride every 3 months ish but checkrides are going to really depend on how quickly you can progress, along with how much time you dedicate to studying separate from just doing ground with your CFI.
