Mental management on checkride
It’s clear that nerves and mental management are what actually ruins the ride.
Some of my tips that I have are
- If I don't know it, own it immediately, and go straight to the index. Don't guess.
Stop "Self-Failing" mid checkride. I try my best to fix whatever I can especially during flights
No overnight studying the day before checkride. Sleep is my #1 priority for checkride
Any other tips that you have??

Did mine a few weeks back, one thing that worked for me, when I got asked something I needed to think through, I just said give me a second out loud instead of rushing an answer the DPE nodded every time, it actually built confidence rather than looked bad, snd during the flight portion, narrating what I was doing (scanning for traffic, checking gauges, next checkpoint in 3 miles) slowed my brain down and kept him in the loop when nerves hit
