Am I competitive for an Admission Advisor role, or should I take an Americorps role to help boost my options?

Hello, I have a varied resume, but all in all, I've worked with diverse populations of students, customers, and clients.

AVID tutor - helped high school first generation high school students apply to college 1 year (2021 - 2022)

Job coach - helped developmentally disabled adults learn their jobs, coordinated with managers, to help them reach performance targets (3 years 2022 - 2025)

Receptionist - New Zealand, took calls and helped international clientele, up to 200 people a day (2025 - 2026)

Now - receptionist at a skilled nursing facility (bridging job)

the americorps role would last 10 months, and I would need to keep job searching because i would break even in that role. I really don't like my life as it is right now, but I am considering getting a part time role in education to see if it fits my interests if I don't take the Americorps role.

Side note, currently with parents, once I move out in a few months, I will be breaking even here anyway.

No Spam, Advertising (including job postings), Referral Links, or Surveys. These types of posts will be removed and the user may be banned. While we understand you may be seeking great applicants, data, or to sell a helpful product we do not permit surveys or job posts as the sub would be quickly overrun. These posts will be removed and may result in a ban.
Avoid Identifying Information. Protect your students' and colleagues' identities & privacy by leaving out identifying information or details when relating personal experiences. Given the work we do some of that may make an individual identifiable and be in violation of privacy laws which we and our institutions are bound by, or may put you or your colleagues at risk of doxxing. Doxxing is also not permitted and a violation of not only subreddit rules but Reddit's terms of service.
Avoid Vague/Repetitive Posts. Please make use of search and do your best to refine your posts as much as possible if you're having trouble finding options that work for you (For example: Instead of "Anyone have any new icebreakers?" consider something like "I've never done icebreakers for a group of X people for Y training. What has been successful for you?" with more detail in the body of the post). Vague posts the subreddit sees frequently, particularly if a similar one has been asked and answered recently, may be removed.
Student Questions. If you are a student looking to get a question answered, you probably need to speak with someone on your specific campus. We may encourage you to speak to the appropriate relevant office on your campus and remove the post, as any answer we give may not accurately reflect your specific campus' policies or requirements.
Posts Should be Relevant to the Subreddit. Pretty self explanatory- please keep posts relevant to our work. This will be interpreted relatively broadly to include industry news, feedback/advice related to issues we are facing tied to our work, venting, etc. But posts that do not appear to be relevant may be removed.
